REVERE AMERICAN RUM DECLARES INDEPENDENCE WITH THE RELEASE OF BATCH #1
Two centuries after rum was pushed out of American life, Revere American Rum brings the spirit home with an Aged Rum and a White Rum crafted entirely on U.S. soil
Rum was once the drink that built the American colonies. Two hundred fifty years ago, American distilleries were producing 5 million gallons of it annually, and in the port towns of early America, no drink was more cherished — it filled the tavern mugs of Boston merchants and fueled the booming economy of New England distilleries. That dominance drew the attention of the British Crown. The Molasses Act of 1733 taxed rum itself and both sugar and molasses which are the key ingredients of rum. Colonists responded with defiance, smuggling molasses from French and Dutch islands. The Sugar Act of 1764 tightened enforcement further, feeding the unrest that led to boycotts, the Boston Tea Party, Paul Revere’s midnight ride, and the first shots of the Revolutionary War at Concord.
Victory came at a cost. When the war ended, American ships lost access to the Caribbean sugar islands, severing the colonies’ molasses supply. Distilleries were left with a choice: close their doors or pivot to grain. Whiskey rose in rum’s place, and the drink that helped fuel the Revolution faded from the country it helped create. Revere American Rum was founded to bring it back — bottling proudly and unapologetically American rum, made without shortcuts.

No caramel color, no sweetening, and no blending to appear older than it is — six years is what’s in the bottle. About Ben Rhodes Ben Rhodes is the owner of Revere American Rum. He began his racing career at age 7 in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, in 2004. After winning championships in karting, Bandoleros, and Legend Cars — including a season in which he won 43 Legend Car races, more than any other driver internationally that year — Rhodes made his NASCAR debut in 2011. He won the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Championship in 2014 while also making NASCAR Truck Series starts at age 17. Rhodes signed with ThorSport Racing in 2016 to compete full time in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, where he has since won two championships and holds the series record for most consecutive starts by an active driver. He lives in the Louisville, Kentucky area with his wife and three kids.

Sandusky, Ohio (May 28, 2026) – Nashville Stampede, the inaugural PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Teams Champion, will partner with ThorSport Racing as the primary partner on Ben Rhodes’ No. 99 Ford F-150 for the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race at Nashville Superspeedway on Friday, May 29th at 8:00PM ET on FS1.

Nashville Stampede competes in the groundbreaking PBR Teams league, which transforms bull riding from an individual sport into a team-based competition. During the league’s inaugural season in 2022, the Stampede made a Cinderella run at the 2022 PBR Teams Championship, rising from No. 8 to win the year-end title. In the seasons since, Nashville has been a force on the dirt under the leadership of two-time PBR World Champion Justin McBride, boasting a deep roster that includes rising stars Kaiden Loud and Daniel Feitosa riding alongside veterans Cody Jesus and Alan de Souza.
As a family-owned team with deep roots in Western culture, the Stampede’s hardworking, team-first mentality naturally aligns with ThorSport and the high-intensity world of NASCAR competition.
Since establishing The Ranch at NRS in Decatur, Texas, as its training home, the Nashville Stampede has also expanded its commitment to developing the next generation of bull riders through the Stampede Bull Riding Academy. Through clinics, coaching, and development programs, the Academy helps young riders sharpen their skills while growing their passion for the sport.
For Rhodes, the partnership reflects a shared connection between ThorSport and the Western way of life.

SANDUSKY, Ohio (April 10, 2026) – Bommarito Automotive Group will once again join forces with ThorSport Racing as a primary partner for Ben Rhodes and the No. 99 Ford F-150, beginning with this weekend’s NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series event at Bristol Motor Speedway on April 10th.
