LOUISVILLE, Ky. (September 25th, 2013) – One week after finishing fourth in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East “North American Power 100” at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, 16-year-old Louisville, Kentucky, native and NASCAR Next driver Ben Rhodes will head to Dover International Speedway (DE) for his seventh series start, racing the No. 41 Alpha Energy Solutions Chevrolet with Turner Scott Motorsports in the “Drive Sober 150” on Friday, September 27th.

Rhodes will make his debut at Dover this weekend, and despite never racing there before, the young racer is eager to tackle the concrete one-mile track.

“I have been very excited since the start of the season to go to Dover,” said Rhodes.  “I have never been there, but everyone keeps telling me how fun it is to drive, especially diving off into the corners with the elevation change and how fast it is.”

In last week’s race at New Hampshire, Rhodes used chassis nicknamed “Ol’ Reliable” due to the track having a low amount of banking.  This weekend he is back in the chassis nicknamed “Sweetness,” his primary car.

“We are taking our chassis nicknamed “Sweetness” there, which is what we were using at Bristol and had fast time on the practice chart before we hit oil on the track and went into the wall, forcing us to our backup car.  My Turner Scott Motorsports team has it set to handle excellent on high-banked concrete tracks, so we are looking for a strong run and hopefully we will drive the No. 41 Alpha Energy Solutions Chevrolet into victory lane.”

In six starts this year in NASCAR K&N Pro Series East competition, Rhodes has five top-10 finishes, including a career-best of third at Iowa Speedway in June.

Rhodes is sponsored by Alpha Energy Solutions, Kentucky National Guard, Park Community Federal Credit Union, Alliance Comfort Systems and Refrigerant Rescue.
