“I am very eager to race at my home track, Kentucky Speedway. It’s an awesome facility on its own, but when the stands are filled with friendly faces, that makes the atmosphere and overall experience even better. It would be great to get a win in the No. 88 Alpha Energy Solutions Chevy in front of my hometown crowd, but I would be happy with a top-10 finish. For me, this 10-race season I’m running is all about gaining experience.”

“All in all, I have a lot I learned today – pacing once again was the big issue. Early on, the guys went a lot harder charging for positions in the front than I thought they would and that put me in a bad spot several times. I lost some spots, got a little greedy trying to make them up and went off the track. We had to pit to get the grille clean, which put us around some bad cars and ultimately lead to our demise today.”

“While I have never been to Road America, I ran it on iRacing and watched previous races to at least learn the track. I think Road America has an excellent mix of high and low speed corners with plenty of passing zones that will lend itself to fantastic racing!”

“Mid-Ohio is a very technical course that rewards smart, patient drivers. To be successful, I believe we need to qualify up front and, once again, work on minimizing mistakes. One of my biggest areas to improve is my braking zones. I worked on this constantly at the Glen and will have time at Mid-Ohio to work on it again, which should bring more speed.”

“The takeaway is that I learned a lot. I was racing with some of the best in the business, some of the best in the world. I gradually got better and better as the weekend progressed. I learned how to get through the bus stop better, made my shifts better, made my braking zones better and got more comfortable with our Alpha Chevy.”
