Ben Rhodes headed back to Kentucky Speedway (KY) in his home state to race in four Legends Car races on Saturday and Sunday, September 17th and 18th. Even though weather canceled half of the events, the Young Lions division driver was able to race his #4 machine to two victories.

On Saturday, Rhodes qualified second for the first of two combined-division events. After starting fifth due to an invert, he was able to race his way up to the front, winning the first 25-lap race.

“We worked on the car during practice and after qualifying to get the car a bit better,” said Rhodes. “It was really good during the feature, and we were able to get to the lead and win the race.”

For the second race, the F.A.S.T. Midwest Series had the 20 drivers on hand draw for their starting position. Rhodes drew 15th, but was still able to drive through the field in the feature to win the second race of the day.

“Starting that far back was difficult, but I was able to work my way through the traffic. The car was handling great and it helped get me to the front.”

On Sunday, weather moved in, canceling the two scheduled races, but Rhodes was happy sweeping the races that did take place during the weekend.

“We wanted to add two more wins to our total, but we cannot be greedy. It was a great weekend, and I cannot thank my team, family and supporters enough.”

Rhodes will be back behind the wheel of his Legends Car at Sportsdrome Speedway (IN) on Saturday, September 24th.
