LOUISVILLE, Ky. (February 14th, 2014) – Along with maintaining a 4.0 GPA at Holy Cross High School and contending for the Rookie of the Year and Championship honors driving the No. 41 Alpha Energy Solutions Chevrolet Impala with Turner Scott Motorsports in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, 16-year-old Louisville, Kentucky, native and NASCAR Next driver Ben Rhodes has added another project to his 2014 schedule as he will co-host “On Track with Ben Rhodes”, an all-new television show debuting Saturday, February 15th.

Produced by the Louisville Catholic Sports Network, the 30-minute weekly show, currently scheduled for 31 episodes, will feature Rhodes and WHAS-TV Sports Anchor Kent Spencer as they interview local Louisville community and business leaders, highlighting Rhodes’ home town.

“This is an exciting project to be a part of,” said Rhodes.  “Over the past few years we have put together little video clips at racing events to give an insider look at what goes on at the track.  I have had a lot of fun with it, and now with our On Track show I get to interview other people from my community and share their story with everyone.”

The first episode, which will air Saturday on WBNA-21 at 12pm Eastern and Sunday on WBKI-34 at 2pm, will document Rhodes’ racing career as well as his fitness and school routines.  And, while each episode will have a segment updating his racing progress throughout the year, the focus is on the Louisville community and the people within it.

“The first couple episodes we have a little bit more about what I am doing so some of the people tuning in know more about me, but the cool part of doing this is being able to highlight different people in the Louisville area.”

Coach Scotty Davenport is just one of the many community leaders that will be interviewed for the On Track with Ben Rhodes show.

“Ben is a unique young man and the Louisville Catholic Sports Network is proud to present On Track with Ben Rhodes,” said Paul Najjar, Broadcast Coordinator and Producer.  “We want the show to reflect his connection with the community and his fans as well as highlight his great racing talent.  We are looking forward to following Ben on the track and in the community all season long.”

For those not able to tune in to each weekend’s episode on WBNA-21 and WBKI-34 in Louisville, entire show episodes will be uploaded and displayed on the BenRhodes.com website within a few days of initial airing.

“I am proud of being from Louisville and representing the city when I go to the track, so it is cool to be able to share my story with them and share their story with the rest of the world.  I hope everyone tunes in and enjoys the show.”
