Legends Young Lions driver Ben Rhodes headed to Kentucky Speedway (KY) to race in four races over two days on Saturday and Sunday, August 13th and 14th. At the end of the weekend, Rhodes swept all the Legends features, winning all four Legends features.

On Saturday, Rhodes unloaded his Legends Car ready to race in two events, but before he could get going full steam, the engine was misfiring. The crew went to work on the car, getting it repaired, and at the same time, going to victory lane in the first race of the day.

Looking to double up, Rhodes was set to take to the track again for the second feature, but weather moved in, forcing the second race to get postponed until Sunday.

On Sunday, with a rare three INEX points races in a single day, Rhodes was able to drive his #4 machine to victory lane in all three events, sweeping the Legends overall races and obtaining the victories for the national Young Lions divisional points battle.

“I have to thank my entire team for these four wins in two days,” said Rhodes. “This was definitely a team effort. We had to overcome the engine issues, and once we did, the car was set up great for me to drive it to four wins.

“Sweeping the weekend events was pretty cool, but getting three wins in a day in the Legends Car was awesome. I can’t thank my sponsors, family and fans enough for their support of my racing.”

Rhodes will switch back to Late Model racing with Jamie Yelton’s Fat Head Racing on Saturday, August 20th, at Hickory Motor Speedway (NC).
