LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 4th, 2013) – After spending a weekend off from racing the No. 41 Alpha Energy Solutions Late Model Stock ride, Louisville, Kentucky, native Ben Rhodes is ready to get back behind the wheel to race in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series sanctioned “Daggett Shuler Attorneys At Law Rusty Harpe Memorial” at Caraway Speedway on Friday, July 5th.  The special race is set for 171 laps around the 0.455-mile oval located in Sophia, North Carolina.

Before heading to Caraway Speedway, Rhodes spent five days in his home state meeting fans and having fun surrounding the Kentucky Speedway NASCAR triple-header weekend.

“Even though the weather caused a lot of problems, I still had a great time,” said the 16-year-old NASCAR Next driver.  “Wednesday I was looking forward to being a part of Carrollton’s Race Fest, but when we arrived the rains came and they had to cancel the event.  But I was able to spend the rest of the weekend meeting fans in the Kentucky Speedway infield Fan Zone next to my hauler and show car.  NASCAR and Kentucky Speedway also had me be a part of Saturday’s Q&A with the fans, so that was really cool.  I met a lot of passionate fans and it was a lot of fun to be there supporting NASCAR and my home state track.”

Shifting gears, Rhodes is ready to race at Caraway Speedway.

“Only being able to watch the races at Kentucky Speedway was hard, so I am ready to get back in my race car this weekend at Caraway Speedway,” said Rhodes.  “Even though I haven’t had the best finishes in the past there, I always like going to Caraway Speedway.  I always like seeing Renee (Hackett, owner) and they run a really good show there.  Also, I think Lee (McCall) and the Hawk-McCall Motorsports team has prepared a great race car for me this weekend.  If the weather holds out, we are looking for a strong run and maybe we can put the Alpha Energy Solutions ride in victory lane.”

Rhodes is also sponsored by Alliance Comfort Systems, Kentucky National Guard, Refrigerant Rescue, and Park Community Federal Credit Union.
