Ben Rhodes Finishes 11th in ARCA Racing Series Debut

LOUISVILLE, KY (August 25th, 2014) – On Sunday, August 24th, 17-year-old Louisville, Kentucky, native and NASCAR K&N Pro Series East points leader Ben Rhodes made his ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards debut, driving the No. 55 Alpha Energy Solutions Toyota with Venturini Motorsports to an 11th-place finish in the “Herr’s Live Life with Flavor 200” at Madison International Speedway (WI).

After the majority of practice and qualifying rained out Saturday, Rhodes started the 200-lap event in the ninth spot. He went a couple laps down to the leader during the race, but in the final laps, after a few adjustments, he was able to pick up a few positions, finishing 11th.

“I would have liked more practice time, but the weather didn’t cooperate,” said Rhodes. “It really hurt us since we didn’t have a chance to tune on the race car. We had a long green flag run there and I was just hanging on to it.

“It was aggravating, but the main thing is getting experience in a different car and a different track, and I brought it home in one piece. Thanks to Venturini Motorsports and Alpha Energy Solutions for the opportunity.”
