The start of the 2011 summer season has been good for Legends Young Lions driver Ben Rhodes. This past week, Rhodes entered the premier Legends Car series in the country, the Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway (NC), winning both events on June 13th and 14th. Then, Rhodes headed back to Atlanta Motor Speedway (GA) for the Thursday Thunder Series on June 16th, and after having to start eighth due to being the points leader, he drove his #4 Legends Car to second, running out of laps to catch the leader before the checkered flag flew.

After a successful week at the tracks in the south, Rhodes headed to Anderson Speedway (IN) to race on Saturday, June 18th. After turning the fastest lap in qualifying for the Legends racers, weather moved in, canceling the night’s events.

Rhodes is the current points leader in the Legends Young Lions division at both the Summer Shootout Series and Thursday Thunder Series.
